Brooklyn-based freelance journalist Nate Schweber is from Missoula and attended the University of Montana School of Journalism from 1997 to 2001. His work has appeared in The New York Times, ProPublica, TheMontana Kaimin and The Hellgate Lance. He is the author of "This America of Ours: Bernard and Avis DeVoto and the Forgotten Fight to Save the Wild," whichwon the 2023 High Plains Book Award for nonfiction.
