Kathleen Shannon (she/her) is a writer and audio producer who’s reported in camouflage, wildland fire pants, crampons and other specialized gear. She earned her MA in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Journalism from UM and has bylines in High Country News, NPR and elsewhere. Otherwise, catch her sniffing ponderosas in the woods with her dog, Zuki.
