Something big happened last week: The Pulp turned 1 year old! We can barely believe it. Seems like just yesterday we launched — thanks to the support of so many of you! — with wild excitement and a healthy dose of terror.
We want to celebrate this scrappy non-profit news organization’s first year in business. And we want to celebrate with you. So we’re putting on a variety show:
The Pulp: Live and in Color
Friday, October 4, at Free Cycles, from 7 to 10 p.m.
Hosted by Sarah Aswell & Kate Morris 🤣
Scored by Caroline Keys & Nate Biehl 🎶
Starring Jeff Medley & Kendra Mylnechuk Potter ⭐️
And featuring Flüffy Bünny 💥
Can you come? Yes? Excellent! RSVP here! 👇
(Flüffy Bünny, if you don’t know, is John Wicks, longtime Fitz and the Tantrums drummer, and Jesse Phillips of St. Paul and the Broken Bones fame. Their 30-minute set will leave you in shambles. In a good way.)
The idea for this show came from imagining what The Pulp might look like if it were performed live on stage.
It’s also our chance to thank all of our subscribers, members and donors — that includes you! — as well as a group of people we truly could not have started The Pulp without: our founders.
Our founding donors provided us with the financial runway we needed to launch just over a year ago, and include several businesses: Rockin Rudy’s, Betty’s Divine, Clyde Coffee, Bathing Beauties Beads, and Clearwater Credit Union. 😘
We hope to see you there!
